What is 3D Printing:
3D printing (additive manufacturing) is the process by which the 3D printer creates a three-dimensional picture of objects through the deposition of the materials by layer according to the digital model.
There are many people who have installed the 3D printer in their homes for 3D printing. Your kid can simply print the new toy through three-dimensional printing. Moreover, you can also design the teacups.
Three-dimensional printing is inexpensive, and faster which can be customized in the home. It has also been often seen that 3D technology quite mellow and building quality of the fabricated items improvises steadily.
Most often, plastic is used for the fabrication in the 3D printing but there is a lot of other options also available for the 3D printing. using the desktop printer, for the 3D print, their materials can be used as alternatives are; metal, nylon, plastic, wood, and metal.
You should also know that the meaning of buying the wood or metal filaments will be buying a plastic filament coated or fused with metal or wood particles. However, it can’t be said that the previous option will be perfectly wood or metal.
Industrial 3D printers are quite expensive due to its size and vast usage and thus it can print resins, ceramics, paper, and wax-like materials.
However, during the printing of the product, the advanced materials can’t be used especially for Do It Yourself (DIY) projects due to the high pricing.
How does 3D printing work?
Have you ever experienced the working process of the common inkjet printer which is used for printing the documents simply? If yes, you can easily understand the operation method of the 3D printer. If you want to make the case of your phone useful, you can easily print it through the 3D printer.
For printing the document, you need to make in the digital form like in PDF or DOC file. Similarly, the 3D printer will also require the digital file designs of specific 3D objects, where most common types are STL type. Hence, you’ll be compelled to create or download the digital file that could encode the design perfectly and give efficient results to the users.
After saving the digital design, your computer will be processing the file before printing of the particular object. You also get the option of changing the setting in a standard Inkjet printer. Normal Inkjet printers are operated with using ink cartridges. In 3D printers, the filament can also be used as the cartridge alternative.
With a standard Inkjet printer, you can create a document by inserting ink on paper. A 3D printer will also allow you to form a physical object by which many layers of materials can be printed easily. After loading the printer with materials, the computer will now send the instructions to the 3D printer about the process of deposing the material layer by which physical copy can be created.
With the help of a 3D printer, you can build the part especially based on the standard principle. Hence, the digital model of the print can be turned into a 3D physical object in a three-dimensional form with the deposition of the layer once at a time. It should also be noted that there is no specific tool required and a cutting tool with a specific geometry is a comprehensive example.
As three-dimensional printing is one of the most evolving technologies these days and a lot of printers released by the companies that have been impacting the industry greatly. In the year 2017, HP launched the first 3D printing system relatively and now it has become one of the most popular industrial 3D printers.

What are the benefits of 3D printing?
3D printing technology is the most rapidly developing technology and it comes with a great set of benefits.
Three-dimensional printing or additive manufacturing is called the process of implementing the additives (like plastic) and thus it produces the physical object-based 3D model.
Virtually designed modeling software can be made by a 3D printer that also incorporates instruments, toys, jewelry as well as weapons.
Some experts believe that technology is great for creating new types of product designs. 3D printing also eliminates expensive and reckless fabrication processes.
Conclusion:
The 3D printer is the new way of technology of designing the products and there are a lot of 3D printers available in the market for both home and commercial purposes. Increasing demand for 3D technology also indicates a brighter future. With the improvisation of the technology day by day, the 3D printer can also be made faster and cheaper in the future. However, the usage of the 3D printer is confined now but researchers are now trying to expand this technology so that it can also be used for prosthetics, cars and airplanes parts. So it can be said to be one of the most exciting advancements in 3D printing technology.
Due to the huge energy consumption and waste of the 3D printers, there is a huge environmental concern with them. There are various materials recycled in the 3D printing and it’s the plastic dominated mostly so these are problems should be addressed. Intellectual property is another issue should be tackled soon where someone can produce copyrighted stuff through the scanner and 3D printer.
